The Open World

Openness, as defined by Don Tapscott in the inspirational TED Talk below,  is about collaboration, transparency, sharing and empowerment, and its dominant place in the modern and future worlds is indisputable.

I have taken a lot from this talk to use in my teaching. Mainly, I will ensure that the four principles listed above are at the forefront of my mind when I envision what qualities my students need to develop as they move through their lives.

I will also share this with my colleagues so that they can be inspired too.

(Includes amazing footage of a flock of starlings 'murmuring' together at dusk - social openness with lessons to be learned?)
